Real Life Wedding: Classic Elegance

Amanda & David Miller • 10th April 2010

David and Amanda met seven years ago. He proposed to her on Easter Saturday 2009, with a beautiful 1.25 carat princess cut diamond engagement ring that he had designed. Amanda was so surprised that it was a little while before she said “Yes”! David then took her out for a romantic champagne lunch before they shared their exciting news with their delighted parents.

Amanda greatly enjoyed planning their wedding. The wedding invitations were the first hint of their wedding day style. They were tied with a dusty pink bow (like the bridesmaids’ dresses) and a drop Swarovski crystal (resembling the bodice of Amanda’s wedding dress). The day before their wedding, David gave Amanda a pair of white gold 18 carat diamond earrings – just breathtaking. His beautiful gift complemented Amanda’s split wedding band perfectly.

Amanda and her father arrived at All Saints Church in Ainslie in a BMW 7 series, with her three bridesmaids in a BMW convertible. Walking down the aisle with her dad was one of Amanda’s proudest moments, but as she entered the church she focussed only on David. The couple were delighted to be celebrating their love for each other in front of their family and friends.

Both David and Amanda were deeply touched by the heartfelt speeches delivered at their reception. As a number of their friends and family had being diagnosed with breast cancer, the couple opted for ‘In Favour of a Cure Breast Cancer Awareness Pink Ribbon Boxes’ as their bomboniere, with proceeds going to support women with breast cancer. They filled the boxes with delicious white and dark chocolate truffles.
